Both products employ state-of-art GaN pHEMT power amplifiers, ensuring high power efficiency. The used proprietary, intelligent small source - AT5g8Gen200 implements an accurate and flexible control of the generated signal.

AT5g8Gen200

AT5g8Gen200 is a precision, high-efficiency, solid-state microwave generator.

• Precise power, frequency, phase and timing control
• High frequency stability and high PA efficiency (GaN HEMT transistors)
• Forward and reflected power measurement and load mismatch protection
• Temperature monitoring and protection

• User interaction via touchscreen and human interface devices
• API based remote control via USB and Ethernet intefaces
• Clock synchronization with an unconstrained number of generators via MLVDS interface

Besides the basic generator’s settings, the generator offers optional application-level control algorithms – i.e. frequency sweep or an automatic frequency tuning for best load matching. These algorithms are instrumental for the characterization and the efficient operation of the RF energy application.

The generator is applicable as a stand-alone generator, or as a building block (including the controller function) in larger, coherent MW energy systems. The input and output signals, required for synchronization of multiple generators, are easily accessible on dedicated connectors.

Specifications:

* High power operation outside the specified temperature range might invoke triggering the over-temperature protection, resulting in reduced output power level.

Performance – power control accuracy:

The chart shows the power delivered to the load (Pout) vs the set power level (Ptarget) across the entire 5.8GHz ISM band, demonstrating the ±0.25dB accuracy of the closed-loop power control algorithm.

AT5g8RF200

AT5g8RF200 is a compact "case-less" derivative of AT5g8Gen200, developed for cost and size optimized applications.

It can be used as a “companion” device to AT5g8Gen200. In that case, the control should be applied via AT5g8Gen200’s graphical UI, and using external power combiner, the unit would double the delivered MW power.

AT5g8RF200 can also be used as a standalone unit, controlled by an external controller via an application programing interface - API.
